Job summary

Jobtailor in Atlanta seeks a Freight Forwarding Coordinator to manage air export operations, coordinate airline scheduling and movement of goods through transit channels.

You will prepare customs-clearance documents, provide customers with regular shipment updates, and collaborate with logistics, finance and operations to ensure compliance with trade laws and high service levels.

Qualifications

Prior experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or related field preferred.
Experience in freight forwarding is highly desirable.
Fluency in English is required.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and logistics software

Responsibilities

Coordinate the exportation of goods by air, including airline scheduling and movement through transportation channels
Prepare and process customs-clearance documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, and bills of lading
Track and monitor shipments and provide customers with regular status updates
Manage customer relationships, satisfaction, concerns, and issues
Collaborate with logistics, finance, operations, and other internal departments
Ensure compliance with customs regulations, trade laws, and other applicable requirements
Perform all other duties as assigned

Requirements

Prior experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or a related field is preferred

Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations, including costs and rates
Excellent organizational and time-management skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Knowledge of air freight logistics and customs regulations
Understanding of trade laws and regulations
Knowledge of handling pharmaceutical freight forwarding is preferred
Fluency in English is required

Experience with logistics software and systems is preferred
