Job summary

Expeditors in the Chicagoland area seeks a detail-oriented Operations Associate to ensure timely invoicing, accurate data entry, and precise client billing. The role supports payable flows, reports, and vendor relations to resolve issues quickly.

Ideal candidates have 6–12 months of domestic operations experience and strong MS Office skills. This position emphasizes compliance, customer service, and timely responses within Expeditors processes.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of the Chicagoland area.
• Six months to one year related experience in Domestic operations.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Proven history of providing exceptional customer service
• Strong MS Office skills including Excel, PowerPoint, and OneNote

Responsibilities

• Ensure smooth and timely invoicing and payable process flow.
• Ensure accurate and timely data entry into our operational system
• Ensure accurate and timely billing to our clients.
• Ensure clients receive invoices within 24hrs of invoicing.
• Handle reports and accounting issues including APD, Credits, Debits
• Maintain relationships with suppliers to resolve payable issues
• Build relationships with vendors and Expeditors employees to ensure timely payment
• Maintain compliance with internal procedures and government regulations
• Improve accounting efficiency and productivity through process improvements
• Meet billing and accounting KPI standards
• Respond timely to emails and requests; escalate problems when needed
• Promote compliance and integrity; adhere to company culture attributes
