Job summary

The Kenan Advantage Group is seeking a Dispatch-focused professional in Petersburg, VA to manage freight movements and optimize driver schedules. You will coordinate loads, monitor inventories, and serve as the frontline contact for customers, handling orders and communications efficiently.

You will also monitor emails, handle incident reporting, and participate in on-call duties as required, ensuring timely delivery and high service levels in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assess customer needs and timing of deliveries.
• Manage daily delivery schedule for drivers.
• Plan deliveries to inventory-managed retail gas outlets.
• Receive orders from suppliers, gas station dealers, and renewable fuels distributors.
• Provide frontline customer service for existing accounts.
• Answer all incoming phone calls promptly and courteously.
• Monitor email for orders, inventory updates, and team communication.
• Monitor web portals for station inventories.
• Solicit freight from customers.
• Create loads in dispatch system.
• Divide dispatch responsibilities with other team members.
• Enter incidents into KITS (incident reporting system).
• On-call duties as needed.
