Job summary

The Kenan Advantage Group in Geismar, LA is seeking a Dispatch professional to coordinate daily freight movement and driver schedules. You will plan deliveries, receive orders from suppliers, and provide frontline customer service to existing accounts.

Responsibilities

• Execute daily plan for movement of all freight within the assigned area.
• Manage daily delivery schedule for drivers.
• Plan deliveries to inventory-managed retail outlets.
• Receive orders from suppliers, gas station dealers, and distributors.
• Provide frontline customer service for existing accounts.
• Answer incoming calls promptly and courteously.
• Monitor e-mail for orders, inventory updates and team communication.
• Monitor station inventories via portals.
• Solicit freight from customers.
• Create loads in dispatch system.
• Share dispatch responsibilities with teammates.
• Enter incidents into the reporting system.
• On-call duties as needed.
