Job summary

Dayton Freight is seeking a Customer Service Representative to assist customers with freight pickup requests, rate quotes, and shipment tracing. You will coordinate with drivers, account managers and service center staff to ensure accurate, timely information.

This fast-paced role requires strong Microsoft Office skills, excellent keyboarding, attention to detail, and the ability to handle a high volume of calls with outstanding communication and customer service.

Qualifications

• Experience in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail.
• Excellent communication, written and verbal.
• Ability to manage a high volume of phone calls with courtesy.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and data entry tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Service Center Manager and Account Managers with inquiries.
• Take and relay messages for managers.
• Provide support to Drivers as needed.
• Prepare bills of lading and delivery documents.
• Maintain clear communication with customers and interline partners.
