Job summary

28Freight is a Boston-based logistics company seeking a Customer Service Representative who is detail-oriented and passionate about service. This role is the heartbeat of our operation, ensuring freight moves on time, drivers are supported, and customers remain satisfied.

You will coordinate with Dispatch, manage orders in the TMS, and provide proactive updates, fostering strong customer relationships and efficient problem solving.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum of two years of customer service, logistics, transportation, or operations experience.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
• Experience in transportation, trucking, freight brokerage, or logistics (Preferred).
• Experience with Transportation Management Systems (TMS) (Preferred).

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contact for assigned customer accounts with trusted relationships and consistent communication.
• Enter transportation orders into the TMS accurately.
• Generate freight quotations per customer requirements and pricing guidelines.
• Coordinate shipment activity with Dispatch to meet customer expectations.
• Monitor shipments and provide ETA, POD, and tracking updates.
• Maintain shipment records and customer documentation within company systems.
• Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and communication.
• Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.
