Job summary

28Freight, LLC. is seeking a detail-oriented Dispatcher to manage daily freight movement, assign work to TSPs, and communicate with customers. The role serves as the link between customers, drivers, and internal teams to ensure on-time delivery and compliance.

The Dispatcher will support scheduling, problem-solve under pressure, and participate in on-call rotation to maintain seamless operations. A focus on customer satisfaction and accurate ticketing is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–3 years minimum dispatch/fleet operations experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong computer skills including MS Office, TMS platforms, and EDI systems.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or on-call shifts.

Responsibilities

• Assign and communicate pickup/delivery instructions to drivers and Trade Service Providers (TSPs).
• Monitor the dispatch board for changes, delays, and service risks; act quickly to minimize impact.
• Balance multiple shipments with efficiency, timeliness and accuracy.
• Provide real-time updates to Customer Service, sales, and leadership on driver status and ETAs.
• Participate in on-call rotation for 24/7 support.
