Job summary

CS Recruiting presents a Chicago-based freight brokerage client seeking an on-site Senior Freight Brokerage Sales professional. You will identify, prospect, and secure new business with middle-market shippers, building a profitable book of business through ongoing relationship development.

You will manage the full cradle-to-grave process—from quoting and rate negotiations to carrier procurement and shipment execution—delivering transportation solutions that meet client needs while protecting

Qualifications

• 3+ years of freight brokerage or transportation sales experience.
• Proven ability to generate new business and grow a book of business.
• Cradle-to-grave brokerage experience preferred; split-model or carrier sales considered.
• Strong understanding of freight transportation, pricing, and carrier procurement.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Self-motivated and entrepreneurial in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Identify, prospect, and secure new business opportunities with middle-market shippers.
• Build a profitable book of business through prospecting and relationship development.
• Manage cradle-to-grave brokerage: quoting, rate negotiations, carrier procurement, shipment execution.
• Develop transportation solutions balancing client needs with profit margins.
• Engage with decision-makers: Supply Chain Leaders, Transportation Managers, Logistics Directors.
• Maintain active sales pipeline and hit gross profit targets.
• Collaborate with leadership to support account growth.
