Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• Experience in billing, collections, tracing & OS&D preferred.
• Computer skills; proficient in MS Word and Excel required.
• AS400 experience strongly preferred.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Good clerical skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and listening skills.
• Ability to perform regular tasks with minimal direction.
• Ability to solve problems with standard solutions.
• Experience in transportation is a plus.
• Must lift approximately 20 lbs. and comply with company policies.
• Able to work independently or in a team and meet deadlines.

Responsabilités

• Answer telephones with a heavy call volume and direct calls with accuracy.
• Maintain count list of items received or shipped and check against bill of lading.
• Prepare paperwork and repackaging of OS&D freight.
• Report OS&D freight issues to Service Center management daily or weekly.
• Maintain a clean and organized OS&D area.
• Coordinate delivery times with customers for freight delivery.
• Identify freight bills needing special delivery instructions.
• Provide bill of lading information and proof of delivery to customers.
• Respond to customer inquiries and resolve billing or service complaints.
• Investigate and respond to inquiries about overages, shortages, damaged freight including Hazmat.
• Verify and process paperwork related to claims, charges and tracing.
• Scan and/or image bill of lading receipts.
• Transfer information from bill of lading to bill format for shipment bills.
• Prepare bills for freight movement with appropriate tariffs and charges.
• Place shipments on-hand and assist with dispatch phones for customers and drivers.
• Maintain regular attendance; perform other duties as assigned.
• Work in a high-volume environment with multiple priorities.
