CGS Federal is seeking an Auditor (Full-Time, Mid-Level) to provide auditing and accounting support for fraud investigations involving complex financial transactions and organizations seeking to evade detection.

The role requires developing draft audit guidelines, coordinating with professionals, and presenting data-driven findings. You will work within CGS's commitment to growth, collaboration, and mission-impactful government work.

Qualifications

• Four-year undergraduate degree or higher in statistical/data analysis, finance, accounting, fraud examination, or other related field.
• Minimum 3 years of professional work experience in finance, accounting, fraud examination or statistical/data analysis.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, etc.
• U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain adjudication for the requisite background investigation.
• Experience with STARS and/or Business Objects is preferred.
• Experience with a federal or state legal or law enforcement entity is preferred.

Responsabilités

• Analyze and audit a variety of accounting systems.
• Analyze, organize, and present large volumes of data such as bank records, financial records, healthcare claims, tax records, and more using common software.
• Assist with planning investigations, including performing analyses to identify witnesses and relevant documents.
• Prepare concise and accurate reports of results, including charts, summaries and schedules.
• Assist with conferences and interviews of representatives of financial institutions, CPAs, and other witnesses.
• Utilize electronic databases to identify assets, documents, and other evidence.
• Analyze an entity’s ability to pay penalties based on financial disclosures and assets/liabilities.
• Develop, coordinate and issue draft technical audit guidelines and instructions for financial audits and investigations.
• Prepare interim and final reports for staff use during investigations.
• Arrange secure storage and indexing of voluminous documentary evidence.
• Assist in compiling and analyzing documents and visuals for motions and trial.
• Meet with federal agency personnel and officials as needed.
• Other related duties as assigned.
