CGS Federal seeks an experienced Auditor to provide general auditing and accounting support for fraud investigations involving complex financial transactions and organizations attempting concealment. The role emphasizes developing audit guidelines, cross-functional collaboration, and proficient use of accounting systems.

Qualifications

• Four-year undergraduate degree in finance, accounting, fraud examination, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of professional work experience in finance, accounting, fraud examination or data analysis.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access.
• U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain adjudication for the background investigation.
• Experience with STARS and/or Business Objects; knowledge of medical billing procedures optional.
• Experience with federal or state legal or law enforcement entities is preferred.

Responsabilités

• Analyze and audit a variety of accounting systems.
• Organize and present large volumes of data (bank records, claims, taxes) using common software.
• Assist with investigation planning, including quantitative and qualitative analyses.
• Prepare concise reports with charts, summaries, and schedules.
• Assist with conferences and interviews of financial entities and witnesses.
• Utilize electronic databases to identify assets and evidence.
• Assess ability to pay penalties from financial disclosures and investigations.
• Develop and issue draft guidelines for financial audits and investigations.
• Prepare interim and final reports for staff use.
• Arrange secure storage and indexing of voluminous evidence.
• Create charts/graphs and audiovisual materials for motions and trial.
• Meet with federal/state agency personnel during investigations.
