Job summary

International Dairy Queen, Inc. (IDQ) seeks a skilled operations leader to guide franchisees and the Operations team toward achieving short- and long-term company goals.

Leverage restaurant know-how to counsel franchisees on sales, profits, standards, and customer expectations, while ensuring policy compliance and strategic district planning. The role emphasizes collaboration with functional experts, development and renewal strategies, and cross-functional support across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent restaurant operations experience.
• Thorough knowledge of restaurant operations.
• Proficient knowledge of marketing, finance, training, human resources and development.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate concepts and programs to a variety of audiences.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize multiple projects and requests simultaneously.
• Relationship building skills with internal and external clients.
• Ability to travel overnight for franchisee and staff meetings/visits (average two weeks per month).

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute district-wide business plans (rolling 1-, 2-, 3-year plans) for a District.
• Counsel franchise owners to support ADQ’s Operations and Marketing Plan.
• Provide guidance on marketing performance through partnerships with departments, vendors, and franchisees.
• Position franchisees for optimal shift management, food safety, quality, service, cleanliness, and operating standards.
• Help position franchisees for financial health and reinvestment strategies.
• Support other departments and assist with new store openings as needed.
• Complete ad hoc projects as required.
