Job summary

Workstream is seeking a Staff Engineer to lead AI-Native Services, building production AI agents and agentic workflows from zero to one. You will own architecture decisions, set engineering bar, and shape the team that follows, with direct influence on how AINS grows.

You will manage the components—how they work, fail, and evolve toward reusability. You will collaborate with design customers, map real workflows, and ensure deterministic outcomes while maintaining strong guardrails and

Qualifications

• Experience building and operating AI agents in production.
• Ability to map messy workflows to deterministic steps and tests.
• Experience working with customers or design partners.

Responsibilities

• Build and operate production agents and agentic workflows, with data connections and permissions.
• Sit in customers' workflows and integrate with live data for evaluation.
• Develop the evaluation harness and post-launch monitoring.
• Create a human-review layer with escalation paths and auditability.
• Drive production incidents end-to-end and feed learnings back to tests.
