Founding Sales Engineer — Open-Model AI Platform

Job summary

Featherless AI is hiring its first Sales Engineer to partner with the founding Account Executive in North America. You will own the technical win, map workloads, latency, and spend, and design POCs and benchmarks that demonstrate Featherless as faster, cheaper, and more reliable than incumbents.

As the first SE, you will build the demo environment, benchmark harness, migration guides, and security answers, shaping the GTM motion and enabling the team with repeatable, scalable technical assets.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years in pre-sales engineering or similar customer-facing role
• Hands-on Python and building demonstrators/demos
• Strong knowledge of modern LLM inference stacks and open-model ecosystems

Responsibilities

• Lead technical calls tailored to buyer's stack with architecture reviews and live demos
• Design and drive POCs and benchmarks to prove Featherless against incumbents
• Build and maintain demo environments and reusable technical collateral
• Own technical objection handling: performance, reliability, cost, security, data handling
• Provide input to product/engineering on feature gaps and competitive intel
• Write technical sections of proposals and security questionnaires
• Support onboarding and first production workloads, then hand off for expansion
• Keep HubSpot updated with technical stage detail for forecasting
