Job summary

Featherless.ai is hiring its first Sales Engineer to pair with the founding Account Executive in North America. You are the technical half of a two-person deal team: the AE owns the commercial motion, you own the technical win, from first technical call through production rollout.

You'll build the demo environment, POC playbooks, benchmarks, security answers, and migration guides. This role requires hands-on Python, LLM inference knowledge, and strong written communication.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years in pre-sales engineering or equivalent customer-facing role.
• Hands-on Python with ability to build demos and run PoCs.
• Deep understanding of modern LLM inference stacks and cost drivers.
• Familiarity with open-model ecosystems and AI tooling.
• Experience with containers, Kubernetes, and cloud networking basics.
• Strong written and verbal communication for technical & executive audiences.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical discovery with North American opportunities alongside the AE.
• Design and drive POCs and benchmarks against incumbents or alternatives.
• Build demo environments and reusable technical collateral for GTM.
• Own technical objection handling: performance, reliability, cost, and security.
• Convey feedback to product/engineering and shape migration paths to open weights.
• Maintain technical assets and enable the broader GTM team.
