Job summary

Featherless AI is seeking a Sales Engineer to join the North America team as the technical owner on opportunities, pairing with the founding AE. You will run technical discovery, design PoCs, and deliver demonstrations inside the customer stack from first call through production rollout.

You will build reusable collateral, own security and cost discussions, and translate technical outcomes into business value.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years in pre-sales engineering, solutions architecture, or a forward-deployed / customer-facing engineering role
• Hands-on Python development and demo building
• Experience with modern LLM inference stacks and APIs
• Familiarity with open-model ecosystem (Hugging Face, open weight families)
• Container and Kubernetes proficiency

Responsibilities

• Lead technical calls tailored to each buyer's stack with architecture reviews and live demos
• Build migration paths off closed-model APIs to open weights and evaluate models
• Run benchmarks and provide throughput, latency, and cost analyses
• Scope and execute POCs with clear success criteria
• Write technical sections of proposals and security questionnaires
