Job summary

Featherless AI is hiring our first Sales Engineer to partner with the founding AE in North America. You will own the technical win, running discovery, POCs, benchmarks, and security/authentication considerations in customer environments.

You’ll build the demo environment, migration paths, and reusable assets, shaping the GTM program as the first technical hire on the team. Strong Python, LLM know-how, and open-model familiarity are essential.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years in pre-sales engineering or similar customer-facing role.
• Hands-on Python and building demos independently.
• Strong knowledge of modern LLM inference stacks.
• Familiarity with open-model ecosystems and evaluation.
• Excellent written communication for proposals and briefs.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical discovery with prospects and map workloads and latency targets.
• Design, run POCs and benchmarks to prove open weights edge.
• Build demo environment and collateral for GTM.
• Handle technical objections across performance, cost, security.
• Write technical sections of proposals and RFP responses.
