Job summary

Featherless AI is hiring its first Sales Engineer to pair with the founding Account Executive in North America. You will own the technical win, conduct deep discovery, design POCs, and craft benchmarks to show open models are faster and cheaper than incumbents.

You will build the demo environment, create reusable collateral, and own security and data handling narratives to support revenue growth.

Qualifications

• Hands-on Python and demo building.
• Experience with modern LLM inference and serving stacks (e.g., vLLM, TensorRT-LLM).
• Familiarity with the open-model ecosystem (Hugging Face, open weight families).
• Proficiency with containers, Kubernetes, and cloud networking and security fundamentals.
• Strong written communication; able to produce technical writeups.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical calls tailored to each buyer's stack: architecture reviews, live demos, and working code against real use case.
• Build migration paths off closed-model APIs onto open weights with model selection and cutover planning.
• Run benchmarks and produce throughput, latency, and cost-per-token analyses to anchor business cases.
• Scope and execute POCs with clear technical success criteria and accountability.
• Write the technical sections of proposals, RFP responses, and security questionnaires; maintain a reusable answer library.
• Support onboarding and first production workloads; stay available for expansion.
• Provide structured feedback to product/engineering on feature gaps and reliability issues.
• Build scalable technical assets: demo apps, notebooks, reference architectures, integration guides.
