Phaselaw is seeking a Founding Marketer to scale our GTM motion in New York with the founders and sales team. You’ll lead marketing from events to inbound, owning the brand and go-to-market strategy. This is a high-ownership, high-impact role where you directly shape Phaselaw’s future.

You’ll be responsible for SEO/SEM, content planning, and hands-on execution without relying on agencies, with a focus on building a scalable marketing function from the ground up.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in in-house marketing, ideally with startups or fast-moving teams.
• Experience with SEO, SEM, and inbound-led lead generation.
• Experience with conferences and other events.
• Excitement about tackling work hands-on rather than relying on agencies.
• Excellent writing skills.
• A bias for action: You ship fast and iterate based on feedback.
• Extreme ownership: You're excited to make a mark and you make sure balls don't get dropped.
• Bonus: Experience in the privacy or legal space.

Responsibilities

• Onboarding and meeting everyone on the team.
• Attend sales demos and customer calls to learn how we pitch.
• Dive into our lead metrics.
• Review and adjust our ad campaigns.
• Take over our content calendar.
• Help lead event planning.
• Develop a quarterly marketing plan.
• Build metrics and attribution for our marketing efforts.
