Job summary

Pursuit is seeking a Founding Account Executive for AI Talent Placement in New York City. You’ll own a sizable pipeline, close deals, and shape how we place Pursuit’s AI-trained builders in full-time roles across employer accounts.

You’ll report to the CEO and build our sales motion from scratch, with a strong emphasis on discovery, execution, and scalable patterns. Hybrid work, strong comp, and rapid iteration are key.

Qualifications

• 5+ years closing B2B deals or similar
• Proven track record meeting or exceeding targets
• Ability to build deals with evolving buyer needs
• Experience selling talent, staffing, or services is a plus
• Comfort with a flexible, evolving sales motion

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end deals from first intro to hire
• Conduct consultative discovery to uncover business needs
• Translate Pursuit capabilities into concrete roles and outcomes
• Design the commercial structure (direct hire, multi-hire, apprenticeship)
• Maintain a disciplined pipeline and forecast with weekly reviews
• Iterate sales motion based on market feedback and outcomes
• Collaborate with CEO and team to scale commercial infra and process
• Leverage AI tools to enhance prospecting and account research
