Job summary

Veit is seeking a Superintendent/Foreman (Foundations) to lead field crews on deep foundation projects. You will manage day-to-day site activities, ensure adherence to safety, quality, budget, and schedule, and coordinate with general superintendents and subcontractors.

You will oversee multiple jobs, maintain records, and lead pre-construction and job-site meetings, while upholding Veit policies and local regulations.

Qualifications

• Five years of experience overseeing a crew responsible for installation of deep foundation systems.
• Experience with piledriving, micropiles, caisson, and helical piles is required.
• 5+ years' experience with foundation/ground improvement equipment (drills, concrete pumps, batch plants).

Responsibilities

• Directly manages lead personnel and staff on each project site.
• Coordinate daily site activities with superintendents and crews to meet safety, budget and schedule.
• Schedule and monitor subcontractors to ensure work aligns with subcontractor agreements.
• Maintain a safe working environment and ensure current safety procedures are followed.
• Prepare and participate in regular job-site meetings and pre-construction briefings.
• Provide timely documentation for safety issues, equipment damage and injuries.
• Support training and development opportunities for staff.
