Job summary

Veit & Company, Inc. is seeking a Superintendent/Foreman to manage daily site activities on foundations projects, ensuring safety, quality, and schedule adherence. You will lead field staff, coordinate crews and subcontractors, and align work with design and budget requirements.

This safety-sensitive role requires strong communication, hands-on leadership, and the ability to read plans and reports. The position involves travel in the upper Midwest, a union environment, and a commitment to Veit's

Qualifications

• Five years of experience overseeing a crew responsible for installation of deep foundation systems.
• 5+ years' experience with foundation/ground improvement equipment (drills, concrete pumps, batch plants).
• OSHA 30-hour, HAZWOPER certificate, Excavating Safety Training, Blueprint Training, CPR, First Aid.
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret policies, reports, construction plans, construction specifications, and legal documents.
• Ability to use Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, iPad and iPhone.

Responsibilities

• Communicate daily with General Superintendents on job needs and equipment.
• Coordinate crews to meet the project time schedule and workforce needs.
• Schedule subcontractors and monitor their work to ensure completion per agreement.
• Maintain a safe working environment and enforce safety procedures.
• Lead daily safety meetings and toolbox talks.
• Complete daily logs, equipment schedules, material schedules, and timecards.
• Provide timely documentation of safety issues and incidents.
• Attend pre-construction and site meetings to plan and execute projects.
