Job summary

Veit & Company, Inc. seeks a Superintendent/Foreman to manage daily site activities for foundations projects, ensuring safety, quality, and schedule adherence. You will lead lead personnel on each project and coordinate with general superintendents to meet job requirements.

The role requires hands-on supervision of piledriving, micropiles, caisson and helicals, plus extensive safety training. Union affiliation is preferred in some regions.

Qualifications

• Five years of crew supervision on foundation installations.
• Experience with piledriving, micropiles, caisson and helicals.
• OSHA 30-hour, HAZWOPER, Excavating Safety Training, Blueprint Training, CPR, First Aid.
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret policies, reports, construction plans and specs.
• Proficiency with MS Office and clear communication.
• Willingness to travel up to 50%.

Responsibilities

• Direct daily site activities for Foundations projects.
• Coordinate workforce and equipment with General Superintendents.
• Schedule and supervise subcontractors to meet timelines.
• Maintain safety and compliance with Veit policies.
• Prepare and participate in job site meetings and reporting.
• Complete daily logs and timecards.
• Travel up to 50% in the upper Midwest.
• Address staff performance issues as they occur.
