Job summary

Oracle is seeking an experienced Manager of Forward Deployed Engineering in the United States to build and lead a team that demonstrates the value of AIDP through compelling demos and PoCs. You will productize field learnings into accelerators, tooling, and reference solutions while remaining hands-on to unblock customer engagements.

Qualifications

• 6 years of engineering experience including leadership in a customer- or field-facing capacity.
• Hands-on depth in big-data and data-platform tech: Spark, SQL, ETL, and cloud data storage.
• Proven track record taking ambiguous customer problems from concept to a working solution, demo, or POC.
• Strong customer-facing skills: able to earn technical credibility with enterprise stakeholders, and communicate with engineers and executives.
• Demonstrated ability to turn one-off solutions into reusable assets (accelerators, libraries, tooling, templates).
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder-management skills across Product, Engineering, Sales, and customer orgs.
• Comfort operating with ambiguity, shifting priorities, and multiple concurrent engagements.

Responsibilities

• Build, coach, and lead a high-performing team of Forward Deployed Engineers serving enterprise customers.
• Own the demo and POC motion to deliver credible, high-impact demonstrations that convert opportunities.
• Drive creation of reusable accelerators, tooling, plugins, and reference solutions.
• Establish repeatable engineering practices: templates, demo/POC standards, code-quality bars, and a shared accelerator library.
• Partner with Sales, Solution Engineering, and customers to scope engagements and size technical effort.
• Serve as escalation point and senior technical reviewer for complex customer problems (architecture, big-data, data integration).
• Close loop with Product, Engineering, and Science to feed the roadmap with field learnings.
• Drive pilots with strategic customers to accelerate adoption of Oracle’s AI Data Platform offerings.
• Manage team health and growth: hiring, onboarding, performance, and workload balance.
