Job summary

Balance is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to design, build, and ship technical solutions that connect Balance to strategic customers. This is a hands-on IC role partnering with revenue and product to deliver technical experiences throughout the customer lifecycle.

You will split time between direct account work and broader technical motion—demos, proofs-of-concept, and technical discovery—while shaping how Balance brings its fintech solutions to market.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Solutions Engineering, Sales Engineering, Technical Consulting, or Solution Architecture.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• Strong business judgment about deal economics and ROI; know when to build vs. push back on scope.
• Ability to articulate customer problems clearly to internal and external stakeholders.
• Hands-on ability to design AI-agent workflows and integrations using modern tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical discovery and executive customer engagements to support strategic enterprise opportunities.
• Own demos, solution designs, and proof-of-concept initiatives.
• Ensure successful customer implementations and serve as escalation for complex challenges.
• Translate customer feedback into product and engineering priorities.
• Design integrations and AI-agent workflows connecting Balance products to client systems.
