Job summary

Oracle seeks an experienced Manager, Forward Deployed Engineering in the United States to build and lead a team of FDEs who demonstrate value to enterprise customers through compelling demos and PoCs. This role blends hands-on technical leadership with strategic influence on the AIDP roadmap.

You will drive reusable accelerators, tooling, and reference solutions, establish repeatable engineering practices, and partner with Sales and Solution Engineering to scope and sequence engagements.

Qualifications

• 6 years of engineering experience, in a customer- or field-facing capacity.
• Hands-on depth in big-data and data-platform tech: Spark, SQL, ETL, and cloud storage.
• Proven track record turning ambiguous problems into working demos/POCs.
• Strong customer-facing skills to earn credibility with engineers and executives.
• Ability to create reusable assets (accelerators, libraries, tooling) that scale.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management across Product, Engineering, Sales, and customer organizations.
• Comfort operating with ambiguity and multiple concurrent engagements.

Responsibilities

• Build, coach, and lead a high-performing team of Forward Deployed Engineers.
• Own the demo and POC motion to convert opportunities into technical wins.
• Drive creation of accelerators, tooling, plugins, and reference solutions.
• Establish repeatable engineering practices for the FDE team.
• Partner with Sales, Solution Engineering, and customer stakeholders to scope engagements.
• Serve as escalation point for the hardest customer problems (architecture, big-data, data integration).
• Synthesize field patterns into input for the AIDP roadmap.
• Drive pilots and joint initiatives with strategic customers to accelerate adoption.
