Job summary

Oracle is seeking an experienced Manager, Forward Deployed Engineering to build and lead a team that wins customer confidence through compelling demos and PoCs. The role couples hands-on technical leadership with strategic input to scale field patterns into accelerators, tooling, and reference solutions.

You will partner with Sales and Solution Engineering to scope engagements, drive high-impact demonstrations, and guide the FDE function’s roadmap while ensuring production-ready outcomes for

Qualifications

• 6 years of engineering experience with leadership roles in a customer-facing capacity.
• Hands-on depth in big-data and data-platform technologies: Spark, SQL, ETL, cloud storage.
• Proven track record turning ambiguous problems into working demos/POCs and scalable solutions.
• Strong customer-facing skills to earn credibility with engineers and executives.
• Ability to create reusable assets (accelerators, libraries, tooling, templates).
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management across Product, Engineering, Sales.

Responsibilities

• Build, coach, and lead a high-performing team of Forward Deployed Engineers for enterprise customers.
• Own the demo and POC motion with credible, high-impact demonstrations that drive opportunities.
• Develop reusable accelerators, tooling, and reference solutions for faster value delivery.
• Establish repeatable engineering practices, demo/POC standards, and a shared accelerator library.
• Collaborate with Sales, Solution Engineering, and customers to scope engagements and plan work.
• Serve as escalation point for challenging customer problems across Oracle's cloud and data ecosystem.
• Translate field patterns into input for the AIDP roadmap.
• Drive pilots with strategic customers to accelerate adoption of Oracle’s AI Data Platform.
• Manage team health: hiring, onboarding, career development, and workload balance.
