Job summary

Chalk is hiring a Forward Deployed Strategist to own the technical direction of integrations in customer environments. You will work with FDEs, sales, delivery, and support to design architectures, evaluate production context, and ensure safe, scalable deployments inside customers’ clouds.

You will lead technical discovery, define what to ship, and set the bar for correctness, latency, and cost while steering proofs of concept to real customer outcomes.

Qualifications

• Real depth in production infrastructure and systems handling live traffic.
• Ability to advise engineering teams on architectures you did not build.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Run technical discovery to understand a customer’s systems and goals.
• Advise on architecture, migration paths, and sequencing of changes.
• Design deployments and agentic solutions on Chalk that meet correctness, latency, and cost targets.
• Scope and execute tight proofs of concept with clearly defined success criteria.
• Answer questions from principal engineers and collaborate with sales on account decisions.
• Break work into projects with clear owners and timelines.
