Job summary

Chalk seeks a Forward Deployed Strategist to guide technical direction across sales, delivery, and support on customer accounts. You will work with FDEs to design architectures, evaluate production contexts, and ensure safe, scalable implementations inside customers’ clouds.

You will partner with account teams to scope and run tight POCs, answer principal engineers, and help identify the next impactful work while keeping scope in check.

Qualifications

• Strong Python and SQL skills with experience building prototypes and reference implementations.
• Ability to read a customer's codebase and discuss it with a customer.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, problem-solving, storytelling, and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Run technical discovery to understand a customer's systems and what they ship.
• Advise on architecture, migration paths, and sequencing of changes.
• Design deployments on Chalk ensuring correctness, latency, and cost.
