Job summary

Chalk is hiring Forward Deployed Strategists to guide technical directions of integrations. You’ll work with customers’ engineering teams, shaping architectures, migration plans, and successful proofs of concept within customer environments.

You’ll analyze live production contexts, design agentic solutions, and ensure safe execution in customers’ clouds. Exceptional communication and cross-functional collaboration are essential to align sales, delivery, and support around complex technical

Qualifications

Strong Python and SQL. You build prototypes and reference implementations.
You can read a customer's codebase and hold a conversation about it.
Experience advising engineering teams on systems you did not build.

Responsibilities

Run technical discovery: get inside how a customer's systems work, what is breaking, and what they are trying to ship.
Advise on their architecture and migration plans; explain what will break and what to sequence first.
Design what they build on Chalk, ensuring correctness, latency, and cost.
Design agentic solutions on Chalk: what an agent can reach and how it runs safely in the customer cloud.
Scope and execute tight POCs with a clear success criteria.
Answer questions from a customer's principal engineers; partner with sales on key accounts.
Identify the most valuable next work and assess fit across teams.
Break work into projects with owners and dates; delegate to delivery engineers.
