Job summary

Chalk is hiring Forward Deployed Strategists to own the technical direction of Chalk’s integrations. You will work with sales, delivery, account management, and support on active accounts, serving as the technical judge across engagements.

The role emphasizes architectural depth, production readiness, and collaboration with customer engineering teams to deliver high-impact solutions. You will analyze customer architectures, design Chalk-based solutions, and guide on migration paths while

Qualifications

Deep production infrastructure experience with live traffic systems.
Ability to read a customer's codebase and discuss technical details.
Excellent written and verbal communication and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

Run technical discovery to understand a customer’s systems and shipping goals.
Advise on architecture and migration steps, flagging risks and sequencing.
Design integrations on Chalk with clear metrics for correctness, latency, and cost.
Design agentic solutions, define reach limits, and ensure safe execution in the customer’s cloud.
Scope and execute tight POCs with a clear success definition and bounded scope.
Answer questions from a customer’s principal engineers and collaborate with sales.
Decompose work into projects with owners and dates, handing deep builds to delivery engineers.
