Job summary

Pearson is seeking a forward deployed engineer to embed with internal lines of business and deliver working software directly in production. You’ll work closely with stakeholders, compressing the gap between need and solution, building end-to-end AI systems on real data and workflows.

You will own the full stack and ship production AI apps, iterating across engagements and driving AI adoption across Pearson. Strong backend/frontend skills and cloud experience are essential.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of full-stack engineering experience and production systems delivery.
• Strong CS fundamentals and ability to design service architectures.
• Frontend: React/TypeScript with solid component patterns.
• Backend: Node.js, Python, API design, data modeling, authentication.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with internal stakeholders to understand workflows and build end-to-end AI systems.
• Discov ery with users, translate needs into shippable software, and iterate quickly.
• Develop production AI apps on frontier LLMs, agents, and retrieval systems.
• Own frontend, backend, data, deployment, and observability for shipped solutions.
