Job summary

Pearson is seeking a forward deployed engineer to embed with our internal lines of business, driving AI adoption and shipping working software against real problems. You will work directly with stakeholders, build production AI apps, and own the full stack from code to observability.

You will operate autonomously in ambiguous environments, delivering tangible outcomes and iterating rapidly with multiple engagements across Pearson's platforms.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of full-stack engineering experience with production systems end to end.
• A proven track record building customer-facing software and integrations.
• Strong CS fundamentals and ability to design service architectures.
• Experience with AI-assisted development, LLMs, and agent patterns.

Responsibilities

• Go where the problem is by working directly with internal stakeholders and shaping end-to-end solutions.
• Conduct real discovery, turning feedback into producible software during engagements.
• Build production AI applications on frontier models and platforms.
• Own the full stack from frontend to deployment and observability.
• Iterate quickly across engagements and ship usable software in short cycles.
• Codify patterns to re-use across teams and harden production deployments.
