Job summary

Pearson is seeking a forward deployed engineer to embed with our most strategic lines of business, turning vague requirements into working software. You will run end-to-end projects, from frontend to backend, with real data and real users, shipping production AI applications that solve tangible problems.

You will collaborate across teams, stay autonomous in ambiguity, and contribute to Pearson's AI adoption across the company.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of full-stack engineering experience shipping production systems end to end.
• Strong CS fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, system design.
• Frontend depth: React, TypeScript, component architecture, state management.

Responsibilities

• Go where the problem is, work directly with internal stakeholders and design end-to-end systems.
• Conduct real discovery by sitting with users, observing workflows and translating needs into buildable work.
• Ship production AI applications on frontier LLMs, agents, and retrieval systems.
• Own the full stack from frontend to observability and deployment.
• Codify reusable patterns and push them back to platform teams for scale.
