Job summary

Pearson's PSG-CP team seeks a forward deployed engineer to join close to internal customers, turning vague problems into working AI software. You will own end-to-end systems from data and backend to frontend, delivering production-grade applications that align with business needs.

You will operate autonomously in ambiguous settings, collaborating across lines of business and leveraging cloud and AI tooling to ship real solutions that customers can actually use.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of full-stack engineering with production systems experience.
• Strong CS fundamentals including data structures and system design.
• Frontend depth with React and TypeScript, building finished-looking components.
• Backend depth across Node.js, Java, and Python, with API design and auth.
• Production LLM experience with prompt engineering and evaluation frameworks.
• Fluency with AI-assisted development tools and agenting.
• Cloud and deployment fluency (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and observability.

Responsibilities

• Go to the problem area and design end-to-end systems with internal stakeholders.
• Conduct real discovery by watching users work and translating needs into buildable work.
• Ship production AI applications and iterate across engagements.
• Handle messy inputs (spreadsheets, PDFs, emails) and turn them into coherent designs.
• Own the full stack from frontend to observability.
• Codify reusable patterns and share them with platform teams.
• Maintain ongoing relationships with lines of business throughout engagements.
• Communicate with executives and engineers to align on outcomes.
