Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer II to embed with a strategic enterprise customer, independently designing, building, deploying, and running AI-powered production systems. Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
Minimum 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
Experience communicating technical concepts to non-technical audiences
Experience in a highly agile environment
Experience with AI tools, eval frameworks, agent tooling, RAG pipelines, and prompt engineering
US government security clearance of top secret or above

Responsibilities

Embed within customer engineering teams and translate requirements into technical designs for AI-enabled production systems.
Build production AI applications powering AI and agentic workflows; optimize for latency, reliability, and cost.
Own production for your workstream and manage full software lifecycle including monitoring and CI/CD.
Mentor and uplift team members on code quality and best practices.
Accelerate customer adoption by codifying reusable patterns and accelerators.
