Amazon Web Services, Inc. is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer II to embed with a strategic enterprise client, designing, building, deploying, and running AI‑powered production systems alongside the customer's engineering team.

You will translate business needs into robust software solutions and drive the delivery of end‑to‑end AI workstreams in production environments. You will own features across the full software lifecycle, mentor teammates on writing high‑quality code, and champion

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of experience working in an Agile, startup, or rapidly scaling environment.
• Experience communicating technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience with agentic and spec-driven development (developing AI agents a plus).
• Experience with AI tools: eval frameworks, agent tooling, RAG pipelines, and prompt engineering.

Responsabilités

• Embed within customer engineering teams and understand the business and customer value of the systems you build.
• Build production-grade software powering AI and agentic workflows; integrate foundation models and data sources.
• Own production for your workstream including scoping, design, code, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
• Troubleshoot production incidents across AI models, distributed systems, and services; implement monitoring and CI/CD.
• Mentor and uplift teammates; participate in code reviews and feedback loops to improve quality.
• Accelerate customer adoption by codifying reusable patterns and accelerators for future deployments.
• Identify opportunities to expand AI adoption within customer engagements.
