Job summary

Salesforce is seeking Forward Deployed Engineers to design, build, and deploy agentic AI solutions directly inside enterprise environments. You’ll partner with a Deployment Strategist to co‑build production-ready solutions from day one.

You'll work on AI‑Powered Development, collaborative delivery, and frontier capabilities across data, platform, and headless architectures. Occasional travel (~25%) with mentorship and customer-facing responsibilities.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of software engineering or technical delivery experience.
• At least one production system you can walk us through.
• Prior customer-facing technical delivery experience.
• Experience delivering projects in Public Sector, Higher Education, or Nonprofit environments.
• Fluent in Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, or Apex.
• Hands-on with LLMs and prompt engineering.
• Deep understanding of data modeling, APIs, and integration patterns.
• Able to work with sales teams and customer architects.
• Ship quality code with engineering rigor.
• Curious, collaborative, and willing to travel ~25%.

Responsibilities

• Develop agentic AI solutions inside customer environments end-to-end.
• Design prompts, reasoning, tool calls, and integrations with customer systems.
• Own technical components from architecture to deployment and observability.
• Build data pipelines with Salesforce Data 360, Snowflake, Databricks, and customer platforms.
• Create agent performance dashboards and KPI reporting.
• Contribute to proofs-of-concept and MVPs moved to deployable in days.
