Job summary

Forward Air Corp. in Missouri is seeking a qualified Forklift Operator to safely load, unload, and move freight within a multimodal terminal. You will operate sit-down/stand-up forklifts and related MHE, ensure accurate documentation, and support dock operations.

The role requires a valid forklift certification, 3+ years of dock or warehouse experience, and good English communication. You will work varied shifts, including nights and weekends, and contribute to safety, productivity, and freight

Qualifications

• Valid forklift certification/licensure required.
• 3+ years of dock or warehouse experience required.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, verbally and in writing.
• Basic arithmetic to verify freight counts, quantities, and weights.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload freight using forklifts and other MHE.
• Move, stage, sort, and position freight between dock doors and warehouse areas.
• Pick, pack, and prepare items for shipping and delivery.
• Assist drivers with loading/unloading following safety procedures.
• Label, scan, and track freight for accuracy and documentation.
