Job summary

The role requires 3+ years dock experience, a valid forklift certification, and strong English communication. Schedule includes evenings and weekends; physical stamina is essential in a non-climate-controlled environment.

Qualifications

• Education is preferred but not required; a high school diploma or GED is common.
• Valid forklift certification/licensure is required before operating equipment.
• Minimum 3 years of dock or warehouse experience is required.
• English communication skills are necessary to understand safety and instructions.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic to verify freight counts and weights.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload freight using forklifts and other MHE.
• Move and stage freight between dock doors, trailers, and storage areas.
• Pick, pack, and prepare items for shipping.
• Label, scan, and track freight with handheld devices.
• Maintain a safe, clean dock and comply with OSHA and PPE standards.
• Assist drivers and coordinate dock activities as needed.
• Mentor newer Material Handlers as needed.
• Work nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as required.
