Job summary

Forward Air Corp. is seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to safely load, unload, stage, and move freight in a multimodal terminal or warehouse environment. As a certified operator, you will ensure accuracy, documentation integrity, and safe work practices on the dock.

This full-time position offers a 4:00 AM–12:00 PM schedule, Monday through Friday, with overtime as needed. Candidates should possess a valid forklift certification and 3+ years of dock or warehouse experience, plus solid English

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• Valid forklift certification or ability to obtain before operating equipment.
• 3+ years of dock or warehouse experience.
• English communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload freight with forklifts and other MHE.
• Sort and position freight between dock doors and trailers.
• Label, scan, and track freight for accuracy and documentation integrity.
• Assist with dock coordination and safety compliance.
• Mentor and support developing Material Handlers.
