Job summary

Asplundh Tree Expert, LLC seeks a Foreperson to lead tree crew operations in the field. You will plan daily work, coordinate crews, and ensure safety compliance while maintaining excellent customer relations.

The role requires strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills, with an ability to work independently under field conditions and manage equipment and safety practices.

Qualifications

• Must understand drawings and symbols for lines, voltages, line equipment.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Strong organization and multi-tasking abilities.
• Capable of independent action with minimal supervision.
• Able to safely drive an approved company vehicle.
• Physical ability to perform job tasks (e.g., overhead work).
• Willing to join and pay local union dues.

Responsibilities

• Plans, coordinates, and assigns daily work after orders from a General Foreperson/Supervisor.
• Conducts field training and retraining for crew members.
• Enforces safety practices per OSHA and company policies; conducts safety training.
• Coordinates with property owners on access, work scope, and responsibility for damages.
• Obtains permissions to perform required work.
• Maintains good customer relations through professional crew conduct.
• Prepares reports on orders completed, crew time, and minor damages.
• Keeps records and manages crew costs and equipment use.
