Job summary

CGS Federal seeks an Auditor (Mid-Level) to provide general auditing and accounting support for fraud investigations involving complex financial transactions and organizations. The role develops technical audit guidelines, coordinates analyses, and communicates across investigations.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in finance or fraud examination, proficiency with MS Office, and familiarity with medical records or STARS/Business Objects. Equal opportunity employer; competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in statistics/data analysis, finance, accounting or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of professional experience in finance, accounting, fraud examination or data analysis.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).
• US Citizenship and ability to obtain background investigation.
• Experience with medical records/payment procedures and STARS/Business Objects preferred.

Responsibilities

• Analyze a variety of accounting systems and perform audits.
• Organize and present large volumes of data (bank records, healthcare claims, etc.).
• Assist with investigations planning; identify witnesses and relevant documents.
• Prepare concise reports with charts, summaries, and schedules.
• Interview representatives of financial institutions and witnesses.
• Use electronic databases to locate assets and evidence.
• Assess ability to pay penalties based on assets and disclosures.
• Draft and issue interim/final audit guidelines for financial audits.
• Create charts, graphs, and AV materials for motions and trial support.
• Meet with federal/state personnel during investigations.
