Job summary

CGS Federal in Los Angeles seeks a mid-level Auditor to provide general auditing and accounting services in support of fraud investigations involving complex financial transactions and organizations. The role requires developing, coordinating, and drafting technical audit guidelines and cross-functional communication throughout investigations.

The ideal candidate has at least three years of relevant experience, proficiency with Microsoft Office, and U.S.

Qualifications

• Four-year undergraduate degree or higher in statistical/data analysis, finance, accounting, fraud examination, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of professional work experience in finance, accounting, fraud examination or statistical/data analysis.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, etc.
• U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain adjudication for the requisite background investigation.
• Experience with medical records review and medical billing procedures (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Analyze and audit a variety of accounting systems.
• Organize and present large volumes of data using standard software.
• Assist with investigation planning, including quantitative and qualitative analyses.
• Prepare concise reports with charts, summaries, and schedules.
• Participate in conferences and interviews with financial institutions and witnesses.
• Utilize electronic databases to identify assets and evidence.
• Assess ability to pay penalties based on disclosures and assets.
• Develop and issue draft technical audit guidelines for audits and investigations.
• Prepare interim and final reports for staff use.
• Arrange secure storage and indexing of documentary evidence.
• Assist in compiling and analyzing documents for motions and trial.
• Meet with federal/state personnel during investigations.
