Job summary

CGS seeks an experienced Auditor to support a large federal agency initiative, applying forensic accounting and analytics to complex investigations. Join a team that analyzes program funding, eligibility, records, and payments to identify fraud and ensure accountability.

The role collaborates with AUSAs and investigative agencies, handling data-driven analyses, loss‑amount calculations, and asset tracing to support criminal proceedings and restitution efforts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in accounting, finance, economics, statistics, data analytics, or related field.
• Minimum three (3) years of professional experience in accounting, auditing, forensic accounting or related analytical work.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Access.
• U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain adjudication for the requisite background investigation.

Responsibilities

• Assist AUSAs and investigative agencies in conducting complex financial, forensic, statistical, identity-based, and program-integrity analyses.
• Analyze and audit program and benefit funding, eligibility determinations, and related records.
• Conduct comprehensive analyses of benefit claims involving various federal programs implicated in fraud schemes.
• Assist with data-driven analyses to identify suspicious activity and large-scale fraud networks.
• Perform asset tracing and financial-flow analyses for restitution and forfeiture actions.
• Analyze large, complex datasets and organize evidence using analytical tools.
• Assist with financial and benefit-tracing analyses involving various targets of investigations.
• Conduct forensic accounting analyses of incomplete or altered records and reconcile data sources.
