Position: Fresh Foods Supervisor

The supervisor will effectively manage all activities of the deli/food service department and its staff to meet merchandising, sales, and customer service goals. Previous food service management experience (minimum 2 years) and a passion for food and customer service are essential.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

1. Managing department staff, aligning with department goals, and coordinating with store management and supervisors.
2. Hiring, onboarding, and coaching new team members.
3. Scheduling staff shifts.
4. Engaging with customers through greetings, offering product information, suggesting products, sampling, and expressing gratitude.
5. Handling customer orders, ensuring timely and satisfactory completion.
6. Adhering to all food safety and sanitation regulations.
7. Ordering supplies and maintaining stock and merchandising standards.
8. Overseeing preparation and presentation of deli/food items such as entrees, fried foods, pizzas, salads, soups, sandwiches, and beverages.
9. Displaying products according to company standards.
10. Following recipes accurately and rotating stock for quality and safety.
11. Receiving and inspecting merchandise, managing inventory, and maintaining storage areas.
12. Completing paperwork accurately and promptly.
13. Processing transactions, giving change, and refunds.
14. Using scales and register equipment correctly, ensuring pricing accuracy.
15. Monitoring product signage, pricing, and placement.
16. Maintaining cleanliness and orderliness of work areas.
17. Ensuring safety procedures are followed.
18. Performing additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• At least 18 years old.
• Minimum two years of management experience in a food environment.
• Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and evenings; willingness to assist at other locations.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver's license.
• Serv-Safe certification preferred.
• Passion for food and creativity.
• Professional communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to perform basic math and operate POS and kitchen equipment.
• Physical ability to lift up to 25 lbs, work in coolers, and stand for extended periods.
