Position: Fresh Foods Supervisor

The supervisor will oversee all activities of the deli/food service department, managing personnel to meet merchandising, sales, and customer service goals. Candidates must have at least 2 years of food service management experience and demonstrate a passion for food and customer service.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Leading department staff, achieving goals, and coordinating with store management and supervisors.
• Hiring, onboarding, and coaching new team members.
• Scheduling staff shifts.
• Engaging with customers, offering product information, sampling, and expressing appreciation.
• Processing customer orders ensuring timely and satisfactory service.
• Adhering to all food safety and sanitation regulations.
• Ordering supplies and maintaining stock levels and merchandising standards.
• Overseeing food preparation and presentation of deli items, including entrees, fried foods, pizzas, salads, sandwiches, and beverages.
• Displaying products according to company guidelines, following recipes precisely, and rotating stock for quality and safety.
• Receiving and auditing merchandise, managing inventory counts, and maintaining storage areas.
• Completing paperwork accurately and timely.
• Handling cash register transactions, ensuring correct pricing and signage.
• Maintaining cleanliness and safety in all work areas.
• Performing additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 18 years old
• At least 2 years of management experience in a food environment
• Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and evenings, and to support other locations
• Reliable transportation and valid driver's license
• Serv-Safe certification preferred
• Passion for food and creativity
• Strong communication and efficiency skills
• Basic math and familiarity with register and equipment use

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs
• Reaching, bending, standing for long periods, and working in coolers/freezers
• Dexterity for using kitchen equipment
