Trinity Services Group in the United States seeks an Assistant Food Service Director to partner with the Food Service Director in running a large food service operation and supervising a team of kitchen staff. The role encompasses coordinating production, ensuring safety, and delivering excellent service to clients.

The ideal candidate will hold a ServSafe certification, have strong leadership, and experience with purchasing, inventory, and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent; at least 18 years of age.
• Two years of management or supervisory experience in a food service position.
• Three years of experience working in food service.
• ServSafe Certification.
• A valid driver's license is required.
• Experience with purchasing, inventory, ordering and receiving.
• Knowledge and experience managing and applying kitchen sanitation and safety standards.
• Knowledge of basic accounting and mathematical abilities to complete necessary reports.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and with food service management systems.
• Prior institutional food service or restaurant experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, train, and manage the facility food service operation.
• Hire, orient, train and issue corrective action to team members.
• Review and approve payroll on a weekly basis.
• Build and maintain positive connections with clients by regular communication and proactive problem solving.
• Oversee appropriate quantities of food prepared and served according to plan.
• Ensure the team is trained and capable to perform duties safely and in compliance.
• Maintain inventory accuracy in line with planned menu schedules.
• Ensure ordering and all required reports are completed accurately and on time.
• Oversee preventive maintenance programs to protect assets and ensure compliance.
• Manage operation in accordance with policies and local, state, and federal laws.
• Ensure safe storage of food items.
• Plan for special events and coordinate with customer facility operations staff.
• Maintain serving schedules and sanitary environment per health codes.
• Maintain on-site reports of daily/monthly financial and production activity.
• Participate in contract negotiation/renewal process; perform other duties as assigned.
