Job summary

American Social in Tampa is seeking a front-of-house team member to deliver exceptional service. You will describe and sell menu items, serve drinks and food, and ensure guests' needs are met in a fast-paced environment. The role requires fluency in English, 18+ to serve liquor, and ability to work late-night hours.

You will collaborate with a team, maintain safety and cleanliness, and help uphold brand standards. Experience with food handling is a plus; certification may be preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 18 to serve liquor.
• Able to work late night shifts, potentially between 12 AM–3 AM.
• Alcohol Awareness Certification required (ServSafe, TIPs, etc.).
• Fluent in English; able to speak, read, write.
• Food handling knowledge is a plus.
• Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Describe and sell all items on the food and beverage menus.
• Deliver beverages and food efficiently while engaging guests.
• Accommodate guests’ needs and ensure a positive experience.
• Maintain proper plate presentation, portioning, and recipe adherence.
• Stock supplies and keep a clean, organized environment.
• Work with team members and follow managers’ direction; support marketing initiatives.

Job Functions:

• Ensure proper plate presentation, portioning, and recipe adherence
• Cleans and prepares tables for new guests

• Practices teamwork during all shifts and supports both FOH and BOH priorities
• Works cohesively with all Team Members
• Flexible to assist in other departments as requested

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 18 years of age to serve liquor.
• Ability to work Late Night shifts, potentially to between 12 AM – 3AM
• Works assigned scheduled shifts
• Alcohol Awareness Certification (i.e Serv Save, TIPs, etc) required
• Food handling certificate a plus
• Fluent in English; able to speak, read, write
• Ability to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy
• Able to bend at the waist and lift items up to 50 lbs. to waist level
• Able to move items up to 50 lbs. for distances of up to 25 feet
• Remain in stationary position for up to 4 hours throughout work shift
• Satisfactorily communicate with guests, management and co-workers to their understanding
