Job summary

American Social - Boca Raton is hiring for a customer-focused server who will confidently describe and sell menu items, deliver food and beverages, and maintain a positive guest experience.

The role requires minimum age for liquor service, alcohol awareness certification, and strong English communication. Flexible shifts and teamwork are essential to support FOH and BOH operations and marketing initiatives.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 18 to serve liquor
• Alcohol Awareness Certification (e.g., ServSafe, TIPs) required
• Food handling certificate a plus
• Fluent in English; speaking, reading, writing
• Ability to perform job tasks with attention to detail, speed and accuracy
• Able to bend and lift up to 50 lbs and move items up to 50 lbs for distances up to 25 feet

Job Functions:

• Ensure proper plate presentation, portioning, and recipe adherence
• Cleans and prepares tables for new guests
• Supports restaurant maintenance by stocking supplies and keeping a clean and organized environment
• Practices teamwork during all shifts and supports both FOH and BOH priorities
• Works cohesively with all Team Members
• Flexible to assist in other departments as requested
• Works well under pressure
• Follows the direction of the Managers on duty
• Supports and follows all Marketing initiatives

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 18 years of age to serve liquor.
• Ability to work Late Night shifts, potentially to between 12 AM – 3AM
• Works assigned scheduled shifts
• Alcohol Awareness Certification (i.e Serv Save, TIPs, etc) required
• Food handling certificate a plus
• Fluent in English; able to speak, read, write
• Ability to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy
• Able to bend at the waist and lift items up to 50 lbs. to waist level
• Able to move items up to 50 lbs. for distances of up to 25 feet
• Remain in stationary position for up to 4 hours throughout work shift
• Satisfactorily communicate with guests, management and co-workers to their understanding
